This term has seen the choir grow with addition of more youth and more people of mature years too. This has worked very nicely with our male population across several different generations and voices becoming more established.

We are fresh from a lovely Christmas event which we did at Glan Ogwr House – a sheltered residential housing unit in which 2 of our choir members live.

The residents gave us a lovely warm welcome with food and drinks provided for our break by all.

The choir had a set of around 10 songs plus a host of songs that all could join in with and the evening ended up being the loveliest warm cosy singing get together you could have hoped for. A fabulous turn out from the choir – for a couple of our newest members it was their first event!

During the break a few of us traveled around a couple of the corridors of the residence “caroling”. We didn’t knock on any doors but hoped that those who couldn’t attend the get together might appreciate hearing a bit of singing from inside their homes!

The evening ended with everyone joining in with “Eli Jenkins Prayer” followed by the German, Welsh and English version of “Silent Night”.
We all went home glowing!

I shall look forward to seeing the choir in the new year!
