Wednesday 16th December 7pm Mind concert – This was a very special event organized by Newport mind for the past 2 years but this year they had decided to ask the mind group to “headline” the event! And had asked me to invite my other choirs too – with the inclusion of the audience in much of the singing.
What a wonderful eve with the Mind group singing so confidently and cheerfully all the way through – staying at the front to help to lead the audience too for the audience participation sections.
Some poetry written and read by Julie and Chris of the music group which were very entertaining and moving!
The Chapter Singers and Cardiff Canton Singers also came from Cardiff to participate in this event – and although each choir had less than half it’s members they did such a fabulous performance of their individual choirs songs!
All the choir did a few songs together during the second half which were wonderfully powerful!
With hindsight I would possibly approach this event slightly differently next time but the overwhelming feedback was extremely positive!
